Cornwall Cricket Appoints Simon Carr as Legal Adviser.
Cornwall Cricket is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Carr as its Legal Adviser.
Simon Carr is the Resident Judge at Truro Crown Court He is a qualified umpire and has joined the Cornwall Panel for the 2018 season. He lives near Lostwithiel.
The position of Legal Adviser was created some years ago, but Simon Carr is the first appointment to the role. The principal function of the Legal Adviser is to sit on Cornwall Cricket’s Appeals Panel which adjudicates on contested decisions made by the individual member organisations. The Legal Adviser will also provide informal legal advice to the Board and its Member Organisations when required.
Commenting on the Appointment Simon Menneer, Cornwall Cricket CEO said “Simon Carr is an excellent addition to Cornwall Cricket. His legal expertise and experience will be invaluable, in particular as a member of the Appeals Panel.”
Simon Carr said “I am delighted to take on the role of Legal Advisor to the Cornwall Cricket Board. I am looking forward to the new season and the challenges it will bring and I hope my involvement will help to ensure that rules are implemented in a fair and seamless way in Cornwall.”
