Meanwhile Bradley’s Vinter Cup holders Penzance won their semi-final against Troon at Helston by 14 runs. Penzance made 135 for 9 and Troon made a creditable 121 for 4 in reply with 92 coming off the last ten overs. Scorecard
Penzance will face Falmouth or Hayle in the final, whose rescheduled semi-final has now been confirmed for Mon 1st July at Redruth.
Batting first under clear skies Falmouth openers Grant Stone and Scott Kellow put on an unbroken opening partnership of 198 in the 20 overs. This after a quiet start that saw a single off the first over. They had 29 on the board after five and 69 at the halfway mark. The acceleration came adding 129 off the last ten overs. Stone ended on 129 not out off 69 balls with 7 sixes and 11 fours. He hit three successive sixes and a four in the penultimate over as 49 runs came off the last three. Kellow was unbeaten on 64.
