The Cricket World Cup comes to Cornwall – Eden

The Cricket World Cup is coming to the Eden Project as part of the Nissan Trophy Tour.

England and Wales are hosting the Cricket World Cup between which starts on the 30th May and continues through June of this coming summer.

Cornwall is receiving the Cricket World Cup on the 2nd March hosted by the Eden Project between 9:00am and 12:00noon.

Cornwall Cricket Board are very lucky to have England U19, Somerset Academy and local player Lewis Goldsworthy in attendance to enthuse the young players. Lewis is coming off the back of a successful tour of Bangladesh.

Cornwall Cricket Board are inviting local All Stars centres into the Eden Project to showcase the fun and engaging All Stars Cricket activity for 5-8 year olds, plus give the young players an opportunity to play in an engaging environment such is the Eden Project.

On the same day the Eden Project host the eighth World Pasty Championships.

Cornwall Cricket Board will be delivering not only cricket for 5-8 year olds but there will be simple have a go activities for the general public. You will be able to find out how to get into cricket if from youth, women’s softball or indeed club adult cricket.
