An official opening by ECB Chairman Giles Clarke CBE was held on 3rd December 2009 with former England test bowler Andrew Caddick in attendance.
The facility is regarded as one of the most state of the art in the country with high quality specifications of flooring and lighting installed. There are five bays, spacious upstairs viewing area, numerous meeting rooms, a lift, toilets and offices.
There have already been some notable visitors to the Centre. Ex first class players Chris Taylor and Steffan Jones ran coaching sessions and in November 2014 the Centre held its first Sporting Dinner with Steve Harmison, Geraint Jones and football’s John Hartson the special guests.
