Tom Rowe (134no) & Matt Robins (57) shared a fifth wicket stand of 122. Tom’s second Cornwall century following his 102, also against Herefordshire, in 2011 at Truro. That was on his second county appearance in which brothers Matt & James also played –  making Cornwall history.

Start delayed until 3pm following heavy rain the previous day. Dampness under the covers. Herefordshire elected to field.

They replace Greg Smith & Brad Wadlan, who are playing in the Nat West Club T20 Championship for Penzance against Newport at Shapwick & Polden CC (Somerset)  on Sunday. Werrington have five players in the selected eleven.

The match sees a return to county cricket at Penzance for the first time since 2001.
