Cornwall’s highest ever successful run chase beating the 322 at St Austell against Shropshire in 2005.

Devon All out for 136 in 44.3 overs just before 3 pm

Josh Bess (58) and Zac Bess (21) added 66 for the sixth wicket. The last four wickets fell for 5 runs in 4 overs.

Werrington’s Tom Dinnis 14-4-46-5, Andrew Libby 7-1-9-2, Jake Libby 9.3-3-41-2, Nathan Pobega 4.3-0-10-1.

Jake Libby and Lewis Goldsworthy put on 65 in 17 overs for the first wicket.

Libby went on to make 65 but was part of a collapse from 131-3 to 143-7 in 5 overs with Falmouth’s Jamie Stephens taking 5-59.

However in the  26 overs up to stumps Paul Smith (49no) and Andrew Libby (20) put on an unbroken 73 for the eighth wicket at 216-7

 

 

Day 2

Cornwall lose their last 3 wickets in 55 minutes adding 55 runs at 271 all out – a lead of 135 runs.

Paul Smith ended on a county-best of 83 not out.

Lunch Devon 63-1 (18 overs)

On a hot afternoon, Alex Barrow and Matthew Thompson add 133 for the third wicket in 37 overs.

Josh Bess ends the day unbeaten on 38 off 94 balls, having scored two singles off his first 36 balls.
