Debbie will be responsible for supporting our Club Welfare Officers across the county. If Clubs, Parents, Players have any concerns or have any questions that need answers please call or email.
The welfare of young people involved in cricket in the county is of paramount importance and we are committed to ensuring that cricket provides a safe, friendly and enjoyable experience for all children.
Protect children in cricket.

Our Safeguarding Policy document signs us into the ECB Policy statement and fully adopts the ECB Safe Hands Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Children in cricket.
It is the requirement of all Cricket Clubs in Cornwall to have a trained Child Welfare Officer who has attended two courses.
Safeguarding Child protection Course (cost £30, and is a three hour sit down course) You can book onto these courses through the Cornwall Sports Partnership who run them quarterly. These course last for a period of three years.
Club Welfare Officers then need to attend a ‘ECB Safe hands‘ course, (three hour course organised by the CCB. These happen in Feb/March each year. (this course at the Cricket Centre costs £30 and the qualification lasts for a period of three years.))
Course dates: There are no more courses in 2020, next available courses will be in February and March 2021.
