Changes from the November Draft
Due to projected player availability, Stithians 2 requested to be demoted to Division 5 West.
Mt Ambrose 2 declined the opportunity to be reprieved relegation and St Ives 2 & St Gluvias 2 were ineligible to be reprieved having conceded 3 games in 2018.
Therefore Mt Hawke & Porthtowan 2 have accepted to be additionally promoted from Division 5 West.
Subject to formal ratification by the Club Committee this month Pencarrow 2
are withdrawing from Division 6 East due to player numbers.
Roche 3 have named Truro School as their Saturday home ground, sharing with Perranarworthal 3.
As a result, Division 6 has been reorganised, based on AA Mileages calculated from ground to ground.
Division 6 West remains at 12 teams.
However an 18 match season May 4 – August 24 will be fixtured with 7 opponents played home and away and the other 4 opponents played once, randomly drawn. Therefore no April or September games will be scheduled.
Division 6 Central now has 11 teams including Roche 3 and Newquay 4.
However an 18 match season will be fixtured with 8 opponents played home and away and the other 2 opponents played once, randomly drawn. As there has to be a bye on each match day the 18 games have to be fixtured over 20 match days so May 4 – September 8. However, if wished September matches can be mutually rescheduled for the Early May or August Bank Holiday Mondays or any Sunday.
Division 6 East now has 10 teams including St Austell 4.
An 18 match season May 4 – August 24 will be fixtured with all 9 opponents played home and away.
The Premier League has been reduced from 11 to 10 teams. Camborne were relegated with no-one promoted. A third team, therefore, had to be relegated from County Division One with Newquay joining Roche and St Erme in Division 2 East. They are replaced by Ludgvan and St Austell seconds. With three teams coming down to 2 East and none into 2 West the divisions have been balanced as required as per league Rules.
Further down the divisions restructuring has taken place as Divisions 4 and 5 have been reduced to 10 teams from 12 teams.
Perranarworthal 3, St Minver 2 Liskeard and St Stephen 2 have rejoined the League.
The 33 teams in Divisions 6 and 7 have been restructured on a geographical basis into Division 6 East, Central and West.
The plan is still to fixture an 18 game season with some opponents played only once in a random draw.
The season starts on Saturday 20 April for the Premier and Tiers 1 and 2.
Tier 3 (All Divisions 4, 5 & 6) will start on Saturday 4 May and end on Saturday 24 August (Division 6 Central excepted)
The Premier will start with four T20 match days playing the same group opponent in two games.
Finals Day is scheduled for Sunday 19 May.
