Support Cornwall Cricket
ACSG Meeting Summary
In general the ACSG were of the opinion that Cornwall were heading in the right direction and a number of the ECB recommendations were already in place.
The League AGM in January will determine on whether other recommendations will be implemented. The ACSG fully support the proposals to see introduction of 1pm starts (50 over games) in County Division 1 & 2 and 45 over games with 1.30pm starts in Divisions 3 & 4.
The ACSG also support leg side wides in Divisions 3 and 4 being called for balls that pass outside of a normal stance.
The ECB recommendations to reduce travel time is also covered by the AGM proposal to create three divisions in Division 5 - East, West and Central. With the ECB Player Surveys concluding that players don’t want more than 45 minutes travel time the ACSG, considering the geography of Cornwall, fully support this proposal.
With the times of finishes a concern for many players in the ECB surveys Cornwall Cricket will be working with clubs and captains to help to 'speed the game up' with advice and information that can be displayed.
The League AGM will be held at County Hall, Truro on Wednesday 13 January.
The Agenda will be available on this website from around 17th December.
